Our Learning Environments

Rainbow Room

Rainbow Room
This cosy room is home to our 18 month to 3 year old children. We believe building secure relationships is most important during this age, when children feel safe they will feel confident to explore the world around them.
In the Rainbow Room, we offer a variety of exciting and stimulating open-ended resources for the children to explore. We focus on the three prime areas of learning. The Rainbow Room has patio doors leading to a smaller garden which they can choose to access. We offer free flow between the indoors and outdoors throughout the morning and afternoon session allowing children to explore, discover and investigate, choosing the items and environment that best suits their unique interests and their developmental needs. Being outdoors enables the children to enjoy the natural environment, seek out fresh air and exercise and enjoy activities on a larger scale.

Sunflower Room

Sunflower Room
Our Sunflower Room provides a varied curriculum with a wide range of activities meeting the seven areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage. We encourage children to think of their own ideas during play and activities and ask questions encouraging them to think creatively and critically.
We encourage children to become resilient learners, supporting them through challenges in learning and play. There is so much fun to be had in our Sunflower Garden. It is a huge space and a continuation from the indoors which children are able to access freely throughout the free flow sessions. We have a mud kitchen where we make an array of wonderful and creative mixtures such as daffodil soup.
